Most church security courses focus on planning, awareness, and prevention—but what happens when a threat is already inside? This 4-hour defensive firearms training course is designed for armed church and house of worship safety teams who need real-world shooting skills to protect their congregation under stress, while moving, and in dynamic scenarios.
Taught by USCCA-certified instructors with experience in church safety roles, this course isn’t about theory or static range drills—it’s about training for reality. You’ll learn to shoot accurately under pressure, disrupt an attacker’s plan, and make fast, life-saving decisions in real-world conditions.
⚠️ Who This Course Is For:
This is an intermediate to advanced-level course. You must be proficient and safe with your firearm. If you have never trained with Gatekeeper Defense—or are unsure of your skill level—you must first attend Practical Pistol 1.0.

Please note: If a student is found to be below the necessary proficiency level during the course, their participation in more advanced shooting drills will be limited or paused at the instructor’s discretion. This is essential for maintaining the safety of all participants and ensuring the course progresses at an appropriate pace.
What You’ll Learn:
✅ Tactical Accuracy, Not Static Marksmanship – Learn to place effective shots on target under stress and movement, not just punch holes in paper.
✅ Disrupting the Attacker’s OODA Loop – Stop a violent threat before they complete their attack through speed, accuracy, and immediate action.
✅ Drawing & Engaging Under Pressure – Practice drawing from concealment, engaging threats at close and intermediate distances, and moving to cover while protecting others.
✅ Shooting From Unconventional Positions – Train to shoot while kneeling or from behind cover, simulating real-world defensive situations.
✅ Live-Fire Defensive Drills – Unlike traditional ranges, this private outdoor setting allows for shooting while moving, engaging multiple threats, and reacting under stress—all critical skills that static shooting lanes don’t allow.
Course Requirements:
🔹 A semi-automatic handgun or revolver (not a micro compact)
🔹 A quality Inside Waistband (IWB) or Outside Waistband (OWB) holster
🔹 Magazine pouches for efficient reloads
🔹 At least two spare magazines or speed loaders
🔹 A minimum of 250 rounds of ammunition
🔹 Hearing and eye protection (electronic earmuffs recommended)
🔹 A sturdy gun belt for proper holster placement
