Private Firearms Training in Orlando: Your Own Bay, Your Own Pace — For Individuals, Couples, and Families

Group classes are a great way to train. But over the past year, private lessons have become one of the most requested things we do — and for good reason. When it's just you (or just you and the people you live with), you get the instructor's full attention, you move at your pace, and every minute goes toward the skills you actually need.

Your Own Private Bay — Not a Crowded Firing Line

Private sessions are run in a private bay at our outdoor range in Orlando. That means no strangers on either side of you, no waiting for a lane, and no pressure to keep up with anyone else.

For a lot of people, that changes everything. New shooters relax. Questions get asked that wouldn't get asked in front of a group. Mistakes get corrected on the spot instead of becoming habits. And because the bay is yours, we can work drills that a crowded public range simply won't allow — drawing from the holster, moving, using cover, and shooting from realistic positions.

Built for Individuals, Couples, and Families

Private training isn't just one-on-one. Some of our best sessions are with people who share a home and want to be on the same page.

  • Individuals: New gun owners who want a solid foundation before a group class, carriers who want to sharpen a specific skill, or shooters coming back after time away.

  • Couples: Learn together, use the same language, and build a home defense plan you both understand. A spouse who has never been comfortable around firearms often does best in a private setting.

  • Families: Parents and adult children, siblings, or a whole household. Everyone who has access to a firearm in the home should know how to handle it safely and what the plan is if something goes wrong.

  • Church safety team leaders: Personal coaching on your own skills, so you can lead your team from the front.

What a Session Looks Like

Every session starts with a conversation: where you are now, what you want to walk away with, and anything that's been holding you back. From there, the training follows your priorities. Common focus areas include:

  • Safe handling, storage, and range safety

  • Grip, stance, and trigger control

  • Target-focused shooting — keeping your eyes on the threat, not buried in the sights

  • Drawing safely from concealment

  • Malfunction clearing (Tap. Rack. Bang.) and reloads

  • Home defense planning for your household

No ego. No "tacticool" theatrics. Just clear, practical instruction from an NRA and USCCA certified instructor.

Why We Recommend a Two-Hour Minimum

One hour goes fast. By the time we've talked through your goals, covered safety, and warmed up, the session is half over. Two hours gives you time to learn a skill, practice it, get corrected, and practice it again until it sticks. That's where real progress happens.

Private training is $100 per hour, with a two-hour minimum. Couples and families can train together in the same session.

A Gift That Actually Gets Used

Know someone who has been meaning to get training? A $200 Gatekeeper Defense Training gift card covers a full two-hour private session. It's delivered by email and never expires.
